SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team will host a youth basketball camp for boys and girls, ages 7-12, beginning on Monday, July 22 and concluding on Thursday, July 25. The four-day camp will run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM CT each day at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.
Alongside coaches and support staff from the Sanford Power Basketball Academy, Skyforce assistant coaches Kasib Powell, Brian Lankton and Connor Erickson will be conducting the camp which will focus on individual skill development.
“Hosting a youth basketball camp over the summer months is not something we’re able to do very often,” said Skyforce President Mike Heineman. “Our staff and coaches are looking forward to investing more time into the youth here in Sioux Falls, and we’re thankful for the additional support Sanford has been able to offer us in making this happen for our community.”
The $100 camp registration fee covers the cost of all four days and includes a pair of shorts and a t-shirt (sizes to be provided upon registration) for each registrant. The camp will have a maximum capacity of 100 campers to ensure a high-quality coach-to-player ratio, and openings will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
