VERMILLION, S.D. – The 29th South Dakota Football Coaches Association clinic will bring in several speakers for the annual expanded clinic experience.

The SDFBCA clinic presented by Sanford POWER-Riggs Premier Football Academy and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is March 20-21, 2020, and takes place at the Dakota Dome and the Sanford Coyote Sports Complex.

This year, the clinic welcomes Fresno State head football coach Kalen DeBoer. DeBoer, who won three national championships as a coach and one as a player at the University of Sioux Falls, was recently named the head coach of the Bulldogs after serving as the team’s offensive coordinator from 2017-18. He spent last season as the offensive coordinator for Indiana, where the Hoosiers ranked second in the Big Ten in yards per game.

“Kalen has coached at all levels of college football and has already put together a tremendous resume filled with success at every program he has been at,” said Kurtiss Riggs, director of the Sanford POWER-Riggs Premier Football Academy. “We’re excited to bring this clinic to the Dakota Dome and work with the outstanding coaches at the University of South Dakota.”

Motivational speaker and author Randy Gravitt is also one of the featured speakers. Gravitt has spoken to groups around the world and currently works as a leadership coach with several teams, organizations and executives.

The clinic is open to football coaches in all states and will feature a series of breakout sessions, networking opportunities and high-profile speakers. Three meals will be provided.

University of South Dakota football coaches will also present at the clinic, and attendees are invited to watch a session of USD’s spring practice.

“This event is always a highlight of the year, and we know these two days will be great experience for all the football coaches that attend,” said Virg Polak, SDFBCA secretary. “Learning never stops for coaches, and this is a great opportunity to gather new ideas to implement in practices, meeting rooms and games.”

Registration information can be found at sdhsca.org/sdfbca. The cost is $60 per attendees that register online.
