SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Around 20 professional basketball players will gather for specialized training, performance testing and nutrition and hydration education as part of the second annual Sanford Pentagon Pro Training Camp Aug. 4-6. A youth clinic on Aug. 6 concludes the event.

Sanford POWER Basketball Academy Director Allan Bertram and his staff will oversee the camp’s skill workouts designed to ready participants for upcoming pro seasons and training camps.

Athletes will also receive expert education and analysis from the Sanford Sports Science Institute team, including SCORE performance testing, hydration testing and nutrition instruction.

“The Sanford Sports Complex and Sanford Pentagon provide these professional athletes with a one-stop training opportunity in a setting with few distractions,” said Bertram. “The Sanford Health experts available to players cover the wide spectrum of services that will help them take their performance to the next level.”

Pro camp athletes will lead a youth clinic Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Youth girls and boys campers from second to eighth grade will have a chance to work with the professional athletes on skill development. The youth camp costs $35.
