Detroit Lions running back Zach Zenner will join Minnesota Vikings fullback CJ Ham during a clinic hosted by the Sanford POWER Riggs Premier Football Academy.
The running back clinic will take place June 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the Sanford Fieldhouse in Sioux Falls.
The clinic is open to students in grades K-12 and costs $20. Registration can be found at www.SanfordSports.com.
Zenner is entering his third season with the Detroit Lions. The Lions signed Zenner after going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft. The South Dakota State University graduate earned a spot on Detroit’s roster during his first training camp with the team. Zenner rushed for a career-high 334 yards and four touchdowns during the 2016 season.
Zenner had a prolific career at SDSU, rushing for 6,548 yards and 61 touchdowns.
Ham is entering his second season with the Minnesota Vikings. The Augustana University graduate did his pre-professional training at Sanford POWER and turned that into a tryout opportunity with the Vikings. The Vikings invited Ham to mini-camp, and he ultimately spent the entire 2016 season with the team, advancing from the practice squad to the active roster.
